New dates for PINK. Women of Italian Graphic Design. From the Origins to Contemporaneity<\/strong>. The exhibition, curated and produced by the AIAP Graphic Design Documentation Centre<\/strong> (AIAP CDPG) on behalf of the MAECI, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation<\/strong>, continues its tour worldwide.

After the first appointments in Philadelphia and Washington<\/a> (United States), the exhibition was hosted on February 25 at the headquarters of the Italian Cultural Institute in Mexico City<\/a> on the occasion of the events celebrating Italian Design Day 2025, which this year has the title \u201cInequalities. Design for a better life\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During March, PINK is in three other countries.

Last March 12<\/strong>, on the occasion of International Women\u2019s Day, PINK was exhibited at the Moscow State Linguistic University<\/strong>, where it will remain until the 21st of the month and then be relocated to the local Italian Cultural Institute. The local Italian Embassy organised the event as part of the seminar \u201cInternational Women\u2019s Day – for all women: rights, equality, emancipation\u201d. The inauguration was preceded by a speech by the Italian Ambassador Cecilia Piccioni, who introduced the large audience to the contents and meanings of the exhibition.

At the initiative of the Consulate General of Italy in Porto Alegre<\/a>, in the state of Rio Grande do Sul in Brazil, the Centro de Conviv\u00eancia of the Universidade de Caxias do Sul<\/strong> (UCS) is hosting the exhibition from March 17 to April 11, accompanying it with a series of in-depth initiatives curated by designer Aline V. Fagundes, professor at the UCS.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Then, the exhibition will be held in Cyprus<\/strong> at the Department of Architecture \u2013 UNIC Architecture Research Centre of the University of Nicosia, with its inauguration on March 21 and opening on April 11, 2025. Also, on this occasion, there are several initiatives, including a conference by Mario Trimarchi, ambassador of Italian design in the world, preceded by the greeting by the Ambassador of Italy, Federica Ferrari Bravo and an introduction by Professor Alessandra Swiny on the themes of Italian Design Day 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In reconstructing and showcasing the figures and contributions of more than forty female graphic designers active in Italy between the 1940s and the present day, the PINK project intends to highlight the female contribution to the evolution and development of the profession and of Italian visual culture. Among the designers on display are some of the winners selected in the five editions of AWDA<\/strong>, the AIAP Women in Design Award<\/a>, the international prize that AIAP has promoted since 2012.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The PINK exhibition, endorsed by AIS\/Design<\/strong>, the Italian Association of Design Historians<\/a>, was curated by Francesco E. Guida (Politecnico di Milano \/ AIAP CDPG) and Lorenzo Grazzani (AIAP CDPG) with the collaboration of Monica Pastore (Politecnico di Bari), Cinzia Ferrara (Universit\u00e0 degli Studi di Palermo \/ AWDA), Laura Moretti (AWDA) and Carla Palladino (AWDA). All the materials exhibited and reproduced in PINK come from the Funds preserved at AIAP CDPG, the AWDA archive, or were made available by the designers themselves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

La tappa successiva \u00e8 in programma a Cipro<\/strong>, presso l\u2019atrio del Dipartimento di Architettura \u2013 UNIC Architecture Research Center dell\u2019Universit\u00e0 di Nicosia<\/strong>, con inaugurazione il 21 marzo e apertura fino all\u201911 aprile 2025. Anche in questa occasione la giornata prevede diverse iniziative tra cui una conferenza di Mario Trimarchi, ambasciatore del design italiano nel mondo, che sar\u00e0 preceduta dal saluto da parte dell\u2019Ambasciatrice d\u2019Italia Federica Ferrari Bravo e da una introduzione della professoressa Alessandra Swiny sui temi dell\u2019Italian Design Day 2025. 

Il progetto PINK nel ricostruire e mettere in mostra le figure e i contributi di pi\u00f9 di quaranta progettiste grafiche attive in Italia tra gli anni Quaranta del Novecento e i giorni nostri, intende evidenziare il contributo femminile all\u2019evoluzione e allo sviluppo della professione e della cultura visiva italiana. Tra le progettiste in mostra vi sono alcune delle vincitrici e selezionate nelle cinque edizioni di AWDA<\/strong>, l\u2019AIAP Women in Design <\/a>Award<\/a>, il premio internazionale che AIAP promuove dal 2012. 

La mostra PINK, patrocinata da AIS\/Design<\/strong>, l\u2019Associazione Italiana Storici del Design<\/a>, \u00e8 stata curata da Francesco E. Guida (Politecnico di Milano \/ AIAP CDPG) e Lorenzo Grazzani (AIAP CDPG) con la collaborazione di Monica Pastore (Politecnico di Bari), Cinzia Ferrara (Universit\u00e0 degli Studi di Palermo \/ AWDA), Laura Moretti (AWDA) e Carla Palladino (AWDA).
