Looking back at the Italian economic boom years to understand the past, build the present and face the future of companies through corporate visual identity: this is the meaning of Brands and Identities of Made in Italy. Stories of Projects and Designers (1950-1980).
The exhibition, curated by AIAP CDPG and sponsored by the Municipality of Modena and Confindustria Emilia Area Centro, opens on Wednesday, 25 September at 4.00 p.m. in Modena, via Paolo Ferrari 107, at the headquarters of the branding agency cocchi&cocchi, which is responsible for its organisation.
The exhibition recounts three decades of Italian history and the affirmation of Made in Italy in the world, through illustrious examples of Italian graphics and the graphic designers who have made them iconic.
The exhibition is open to the public and features reproductions of materials from the collection and archives of the AIAP Graphic Design Documentation Centre, as well as a number of cocchi&cocchi projects.
From 26 September to 5 October, it will be possible to visit the exhibition every day from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., except Thursday afternoons.
In conjunction with the exhibition, two meetings dedicated to company owners and marketing offices have been organised to analyse the evolution of visual identity and graphics and their contribution in transforming SMEs into multinationals capable of defining and giving value to Made in Italy. The meetings, free of charge and with a limited number of participants, are scheduled on 26 September and 3 October on Thursday afternoons.
