AIAP Edizioni has published the Guide to the Funds of AIAP CDPG. The book summarises the heritage of the Historical Archive and the Graphic Design Library. The volume is available in the AIAP Online Library.
A Guide to the Funds. AIAP CDPG Summary, edited by Sonia Chianchiano and Lorenzo Grazzani, with an introductory essay by Francesco E. Guida, presents the 120 funds surveyed and preserved at the Graphic Design Documentation Centre of AIAP, the Italian Association of Visual Communication Design. A valuable tool for learning about a unique cultural and collective heritage, one of the richest and most varied collections in the Italian panorama and beyond, in which thousands of documents and original materials relating to the history of graphic design are preserved.
The volume, in Italian and English, returns, in a synthetic but direct and enjoyable form, the wealth of collections and materials preserved by AIAP CDPG, which constitute an opportunity for research, studies, interpretations, and a possibility of projectuality and valorisation.
Well-known and lesser-known names of graphic design at an Italian and international level: from Massimo Vignelli to Bob Noorda, from Daniele Turchi to Massimo Dolcini, and then Giancarlo Iliprandi, Paul Rand, Lucille Tenazas, Claudia Morgagni, Anita Klinz, Franco and Jeanne Grignani and many, many others.
