The Graphic Design Library contains more than 8,000 volumes and publications entirely dedicated to the culture of graphic design. It is constantly updated with the latest national and international publications on various subjects: visual communication theory, technical manuals, graphic design magazines, calligraphy, art, architecture, design, fashion, typographic design, monographs on the great masters, coordinated image, publishing, new media, infographics, etc.
Among the materials held in the library are
- Yearbook series, including Pubblicità in Italia (IT), Graphis (CH) and the German, English and American Art Directors Clubs, from the 1950s onwards;
- Complete series of the «Poliedro» (1962-1969) and «Quaderni AIAP» (1983-1990) association bulletins, «Progetto Grafico» (2003-present) and «Grafica» (1985-1991) magazines
- Series of the magazines «LineaGrafica» (IT), «Novum Gebrauchgraphik» (DE), «Graphik» (DE), «Idea» (JP), «Creative Review» (UK), «Print» (US), «Ulm – Zeitschrift der Hochschule für Gestaltung» (DE), «Industrial Design» (US) and others, from the 1950s onwards;
- Specialist and hard-to-find volumes essential for research at every level.
